COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Colorado Rapids 2 announced today their preseason schedule ahead of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season.
The Rapids squad reported for preseason on January 6 before beginning health and fitness testing the following day at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. The team is now preparing to travel down to Bradenton, Florida, where they will begin the second phase of their preseason training at IMG Academy from February 5 to 19. During their time in Florida, the Rapids will take part in two closed-door friendlies, starting with a local Florida academy team then MLS NEXT Pro side New England Revolution II and ending with a match against MLS side CF Montréal.
Following their return from Florida, Rapids 2 will compete in four additional friendlies against local USL Championship team Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and USL League One team Northern Colorado Hailstorm, University of Denver Men’s Soccer and the Air Force Academy.
