COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - Colorado Rapids 2 have signed midfielder Rémi Cabral for the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season, the club announced today.
“Remi’s signing gives us another dynamic option in the final third. We are excited to see how his athleticism combines with the other talented attackers we have to create what we believe will be a potent strike force,” said Brian Crookham, Rapids 2 General Manager.
Cabral, 23, arrives in Colorado after spending the past two seasons with USL Championship side LA Galaxy II. During his time in Los Angeles, Cabral made 56 appearances across all competitions, recording eight goals and two assists.
Born in Paris, France, Cabral spent his youth career with Paris Saint-German’s U-17 and U-19 sides before signing with FC Metz B in France’s Ligue 1 in 2017, where he recorded three goals in 26 appearances. In 2018, Cabral joined Valenciennes FC, where he scored two goals in four appearances. The Frenchman now joins his twin brother Kevin Cabral in Colorado after Kevin recently signed a first team contract with the Rapids.
