The Rapids Unified Team, which is comprised of players both with and without intellectual disabilities between the ages of 16 and 25, receives training from the Colorado Rapids players and coaches. This exchange program not only provides Special Olympics athletes with top-level training and competitive experiences, but also offers MLS fans an opportunity to witness the talents and abilities of Special Olympics Colorado soccer players first-hand. Through the generosity and financial support of our corporate partners adidas and DICK’S Sporting Goods the program has continued to grow each year. With their backing, the Rapids Unified Team is provided with a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
